WELCOME TO THE RODIN-WEB - The independent Academic Rodin Platform

Summer 2003: New graphic design created and implemented by Nadine Kupfer, Bori de Roos and Esther Dieckhoff

Awarded by expertido.orgOn more than 500 pages, the RODIN-WEB offers you information, images, links and book tips relating to the French sculptor and draftsman AUGUSTE RODIN (1840-1917).

Building a bridge between figurative and abstract art, Rodin's work - with its strong emotional expressiveness and courageous eroticism - continues to fascinate millions of art lovers world-wide.
RODIN-WEB informs you about the artist's moving life, his dramatic love affairs, his sculptures and drawings, and much more related issues:

The LIFE section offers you a concise Rodin BIOGRAPHY. The essay on RODIN'S APPROACH TO ART introduces you to significant aspects of the artist's work and discusses his style as it developed over the years.

The WORKS pages contain an illustrated description of selected key sculptures by Rodin, with references to further background literature.

An extra section deals with the life and work of CAMILLE CLAUDEL, Rodin's pupil, assistant, model and lover, an outstanding artist in her own right, whose genius only recently has been rediscovered.

The COLLECTION pages give you the world's most complete overview of ca. 220 Rodin collections on six continents.

Other pages guide you to hundreds of BOOKS and PHOTOS, or point to further online RESOURCES.

The UPCOMING EVENTS page features upcoming Rodin exhibitions. Please use the GUESTBOOK to post questions and announcements.

Through the RODIN-WEB PEER NETWORK you can exchange information and opinions with other people that share your interest in Rodin.

The RODIN-WEB so constitutes an art-historical database, an Internet guide and an online forum at the same time.

The RODIN-WEB is an independent, not-for-profit initiative. You can support us by putting a link to www.rodin-web.org on your own Website: Just "cut and paste" this one, or follow the INSTRUCTIONS and copy one of our LOGO IMAGES.

NOTE 2015: BECAUSE THE RODIN-WEB HAS SURVIVED FOR MORE THAN 17 YEARS NOW, WE HAVE LIVED LONGER THAN THE ATOM-Z SEARCH SERVICE OR THE PURETEC CGI-COUNTER. THESE FUNCTIONS ARE DEAD!
