With over 130 sculptures by Rodin, the Soumaya owns the most extensive Rodin collection in South America and one of the largest in the world.

To make this large collection accessable to the public, the Museum has featured the exhibition Auguste Rodin - Los volúmenes del hombre, las formas del genio, consisting of 26 Rodin works and additional works by Camille Claudel, E. A. Bourdelle, Edgar Degas and Honoré Daumier.

The exhibition was meant to travel through Mexico, to the new Cultural Centre in Villahermosa, Tabasco, and to the Cultural Center Santo Domingo in Oaxaca.
