Auguste Rodin creates his original "Thinker" in plaster. 

1917 * AUGUSTE RODIN DIES 
"Right of Reproduction" goes to State of France and the Musee Rodin. 

1918-2001 * A COPY OF THE ORIGINAL 
From Auguste Rodin’s original plasters, the Musee Rodin posthumously reproduces plaster reproductions with counterfeit "A Rodin" signatures applied, to send to foundries.
