SMALLER COLLECTIONS

As "smaller collections", all those Museum are listed, that have up to 20 Rodin sculptures and/or drawings in their permanent collections.

Moreover, I have mentioned Museums that do not seem to own any Rodin work themselves, but have organized or hosted major Rodin exhibition or important theme exhibitions including Rodin work. Thirdly, I have listed some public locations where Rodin monuments can be seen, such as the Parliament Grounds in London or the Garden of the Palais Royal in Paris.

Within the framework of this survey, I did not try to document smaller collections held by private galleries or private persons (excepted the major collections like the Cantor Foundation), although many interesting and valuable Rodin pieces may be in such hands. I have concentrated on public collections that are accessable to the public and have professional staff that is engaged in research and is ready to supply information. But in case any private collection would like to be listed, please inform me by e-mail.
